Community ~ Compassion ~ Change

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy because it allows you to vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.

An hour and a half can change the world for uninsured individuals in our community who often suffer in silence.

When you volunteer at FCRC, you make a difference in people's lives.  You can help build a safety net to catch individuals in desperate need and provide a stepping stone for them to get back on their feet.

Whatever your skills and time constraints are, we would love your help. We have a wide range of day and evening volunteer opportunities from interviewing patients for eligibility to answering the telephone to serving on ad hoc committees to planting flowers to beautify our landscaping.

FCRC is blessed by the amount of community support that we receive, and we are especially grateful for the unwavering support that our volunteers offer. Our 125 active volunteers are truly the heart of this valuable mission that brings hope and healing to a population who often has no voice.

Consider volunteering as a “team”.  What an awesome way for a Sunday School class or a church congregation to join hands and collectively make a difference by sharing their time and talents!
Here is a full list of volunteer opportunities.

To become a volunteer for FCRC, download our volunteer application and mail it to 315 S. Main Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.  If you're not sure what job might be best for you or are hesitant for any reason, please contact Peggy Warf for a no obligation tour!

Give us a chance!  We believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of our organization, and we feel confident you will be able to find your place here with us. You can reach Peggy at 336.349-3220 x 300 or by email at peggy.warf@freeclinicofreidsville.org.

Making a Difference in The Community’s Big Back Yard

Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes, and FCRC embraces the support of each and every individual who furthers the noble mission of bringing hope and healing to the working uninsured.

The children of St. Thomas Episcopal Church recently studied “God’s Big Back Yard” in Vacation Bible School and decided that they could lend a helping hand to those in their own “back yard.”

The children enjoyed a presentation by FCRC’s Executive Director, Leslie Deaton, and then teamed to fill care bags for the children of The Free Clinic’s patients. Check out FCRC’s newest (and youngest!) volunteers whose smiles reflect the intrinsic reward of helping one another!

FCRC is indebted to the caring children of St. Thomas Episcopal and to the many churches in God’s big back yard who include The Clinic in their outreach endeavors.
